Connections made at European skydiving event
Dropzone Owner Ms. Zainab Alibhai traveled to Poland for the European Skydiving Symposium. She was the only female Dropzone owner attending this event.
The European Skydiving Symposium is the biggest skydiving-oriented conference in the CEE Region and the only conference of this size in Europe. Experts, Icons, Legends and members of the skydiving community, including instructors, and gear specialists from our industry were present. The main objective was to increase safety.
The expo was an addition to more than 40 safety-related seminars. It’s an event with various presentations, seminars and workshops about;
· Tandem Skydiving Safety
· Parachute rigging and maintaining equipment
· Wingsuit education concept
· Canopy Piloting
· How to safely organize a big international event
· Continual development at United States Parachute Association (USPA)
· Accelerated Freefall Programs (AFF)
· New innovations
Who did Zainab meet?
Many Legends and icons in the industry, but to name a few:
Mr Bill Booth
The founder of United Parachute Technologies (UPT) and the “father of skydiving”, the American engineer, inventor and entreprenar in the skydiving equipment, and developer of Tandem jumping, who has dedicated 50 years of his life for this sport.
Mr. Noah Watts
Tandem Program Director at UPT. Military static line and Free Fall Jump Master, Senior rigger, Multi rated USPA Examiner and Examiner Rating Course director.
Canopy coach, Flight- 1Instructor, Demonstration Jumper, Team USA World Champion, whom Zainab knew when she worked at the States.
