When it comes to skydiving, few names command as much respect, experience, and dedication as Robert Scott Kruger. With nearly three decades in the sport and over 12,400 jumps to his name, Robert is a true icon of the skydiving world — a passionate professional who has turned his love for freefall into a lifelong mission to share the thrill with others.

A Life in Freefall

Robert began his skydiving journey on July 1, 1995, and has never looked back. Over the past 29 years, he has accumulated an extraordinary body of experience — including 4,500+ tandem jumps — across multiple skydiving disciplines such as freeflying, canopy piloting, camera flying, and of course, tandem instruction.

Robert has worked at many of the continent’s top drop zones, including Swakopmund in Namibia, and numerous clubs in South Africa, from Pretoria and Johannesburg to Plettenberg Bay.

Credentials You Can Trust

Robert holds elite certifications from both:

  • 🇿🇦 PASA (Parachute Association of South Africa)

    • Tandem Master (Strong & Sigma rated)

    • Jumpmaster, Coach, Parachute Technician, and PRO rating

    • Member of the Aero Club of South Africa

  • 🇺🇸 USPA (United States Parachute Association)

Robert is rated on multiple tandem parachuting systems including Vector, Strong, and Sigma, and is a recognized parachute technician, ensuring safety from rigging to landing.

Beyond the Drop Zone

When he’s not in the air, Robert is immersed in the world of skydiving from behind the camera, capturing freefall footage as a skilled camera flyer and creating powerful visuals that share the skydiving experience with the world. He’s also involved in rigging and maintaining parachute systems, and contributes to event planning for special jumps and aerial demonstrations.

Not Just a Jumper — A Leader

In addition to his unmatched technical skills, Robert is known for his ability to lead, teach, and inspire. He has coached hundreds of new skydivers, managed demonstration jumps, and worked extensively in customer experience and safety procedures. His ability to make both first-timers and seasoned thrill-seekers feel comfortable and confident is one of the reasons he’s such a sought-after instructor.
