Demo Skydiving Jumps
In skydiving, Demo Jumps (short for “Demonstration Jumps”) are parachute jumps performed at public events or at special locations outside of designated drop zones. These jumps are often used to entertain, promote a cause, or showcase skydiving skills in front of an audience.
Types of Demo Jumps (USPA Classification)
- Category A – Landing in a pre-approved drop zone or airport where skydiving operations occur regularly.
- Category B – Landing in an open field or area not normally used for skydiving but inspected and approved beforehand.
- Category C – Landing in complex or confined environments, such as stadiums, city streets, golf courses, or small arenas, often in front of large crowds.
Event Skydiving: Go Jump Kenya Comes to You
Off-airfield jumps can be performed almost anywhere in the world, limited only by safety requirements and your imagination. The Go Jump Kenya team has extensive experience performing jumps not only across Kenya but internationally, ensuring your event becomes a spectacular and memorable experience.
We have performed jumps at private celebrations — birthdays, weddings, engagements, graduations — as well as at large public events including sports competitions, football match openings, festivals, concerts, and promotional shoots for TV stations, musicians, and corporate campaigns.
Locations may include sports fields, private estates, golf courses, beaches, hillsides, and other open areas.
Important Safety Factors
- The landing area must be safe, accessible, and free from hazards such as power lines, tall buildings, trees, fences, or other obstacles.
- If a body of water deeper than 150 cm is within 50 meters of the landing zone, a water rescue team with a motorized boat must be present.
No matter where your event takes place, the Go Jump Kenya team is ready to bring the excitement, precision, and professionalism of demo skydiving to your chosen location.

Who Are the “Demo Skydivers” Performing These Jumps?
At Go Jump Kenya, all demo jumps are performed by highly skilled and experienced skydivers who meet strict international safety and certification requirements. To qualify as a demo jumper, an individual must hold a USPA D-License (or equivalent advanced license), demonstrating extensive expertise in freefall and canopy control.
Demo skydivers must also have a proven record of precision landings and specialised training for jumping into non-standard locations such as stadiums, beaches, parks, or confined venues. Every demo jump is thoroughly planned and coordinated with local authorities to ensure a safe, legal, and impressive performance.
Whether for sporting events, ceremonies, celebrations, or promotional activities, our expert skydivers bring unmatched professionalism, precision, and excitement to every jump.

Off-Airfield Jumps – Required Documentation & Responsibilities
When you hire Go Jump Kenya for off-airfield skydiving, our team manages nearly all required documentation. If spectators will be present, we prepare and submit the Aeronautical Event Plan to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) and request official event approval. For non-spectator demo jumps, we request approval for an off-airfield landing.
We also coordinate directly with Air Traffic Control to reserve airspace and secure permission for an Ad hoc skydiving structure. Local police are notified, and a daily log of skydiving operations is maintained.
The only document the client must provide is the landowner’s written permission for the chosen landing area.
Cost of Hiring Event Skydivers
The price of organising a demo jump depends on several factors, including location, date, time of day, number of skydivers, and whether tandem skydiving is required. Additional options such as flags, props, item delivery, filming, and timing adjustments may also influence the final cost.
We proudly support charitable and humanitarian projects and encourage organisations to reach out for special considerations.
We hope this article helps you better understand off-airfield skydiving and the process of hiring professional event skydivers. We look forward to helping you elevate your next event.
