Safety — our commitment to your security
At Go Jump Kenya, safety is not just a priority — it is the foundation of everything we do. Based in Diani Beach on the Kenyan coast, we combine global standards, local regulation and decades of experience to ensure every skydive — tandem or solo — is conducted with the highest level of care and professionalism.
Internationally recognised standards
We are a foreign affiliate of the United States Parachute Association (USPA), the world’s leading authority in skydiving safety and training. All our operations follow USPA’s Basic Safety Requirements (BSRs). Our equipment, procedures and instructor qualifications meet or exceed these international benchmarks.
In addition, we operate under full authorization from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), ensuring compliance with local aviation regulations.
Expert staff and certified rigging
Our team includes certified Safety & Training Advisors (S&TA), appointed by USPA, whose role is to maintain rigorous safety oversight, conduct regular reviews of procedures and ensure consistent compliance with all regulations.
Moreover, our owner is the first (and only) FAA-certified Senior Parachute Rigger in Eastern Africa. With internationally recognised rigging qualifications, she personally oversees packing, maintenance and inspection of all parachute systems — main and reserve — guaranteeing that every jump uses gear packed to the highest global standards.
Rigorous safety procedures and equipment checks
Before every jump — tandem or AFF — we perform thorough gear inspections, including harness, container, canopies, altimeters, reserve systems and automatic activation devices (AAD), if used. Experienced instructors review and approve all equipment before boarding. This multi-stage gear-check process helps mitigate risks and ensure a safe jump.
We also enforce strict rules:
- No alcohol or drugs prior to the jump — sobriety is mandatory.
- Minimum fitness and weight/BMI requirements for tandem jumps to ensure safe deployment and landing.
- Certified instructors handle all technical aspects; first-time jumpers receive full pre-jump briefings, covering exit procedures, free-fall body position, canopy deployment and landing.
- All jumps are conducted based on safe and appropriate weather conditions. If conditions are not optimal, jumps are postponed.
Transparent regulation and oversight
Our operations manual aligns with both USPA standards and KCAA regulations. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority regularly audits our drop-zone, equipment, aircraft, pilots and instructor credentials. Regulators have visited and reviewed our entire operation to confirm compliance and safety integrity.
