Accelerated Freefall (AFF) Course – Go Jump Kenya
Our AFF (Accelerated Freefall) course teaches you all the knowledge and skills you need to skydive on your own — from altitude awareness and parachute deployment to canopy control and reserve procedures. This is your first step toward becoming a licensed skydiver.
The Accelerated Freefall (AFF) Course is the fastest and most effective way to become an independent skydiver. Designed for beginners who want to progress beyond tandem skydives, AFF gives you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to skydive solo. By completing the course at Go Jump Kenya, you begin your journey toward earning an internationally recognized skydiving license.
Ground School – Your First Step into the World of Skydiving
Your AFF training begins with a full day of ground school, where you learn the fundamentals of skydiving, including:
- understanding your skydiving equipment,
- proper body position for stable freefall,
- how to exit the aircraft safely,
- altitude awareness and deployment procedures,
- canopy flight, navigation and landing techniques,
- emergency procedures and malfunction handling.
Ground school equips you with the essential knowledge required for your first jumps and prepares you for every stage of the AFF program.
AFF Jumps – Level-by-Level Progression
The AFF program consists of a minimum of eight instructor-assisted skydives, each with clearly defined objectives:
- Levels 1–3: You jump with two instructors who help maintain stability and guide your freefall technique.
- Levels 4–8: You jump with one instructor as you demonstrate increasing independence in the air.
- Post-AFF Solo: After completing all levels, you perform your first fully solo skydive.
Each level includes a detailed briefing, the skydive itself, and a full video debrief to help you improve quickly and safely.
What You Learn During AFF
- safe aircraft exits and stable freefall techniques,
- how to maintain altitude awareness,
- parachute deployment at the correct altitude,
- canopy flight control and landing accuracy,
- handling unexpected situations and emergency procedures,
- developing confidence as an independent skydiver.
After AFF – Your Path Toward a Skydiving License
Once you complete the AFF levels, you continue with coached jumps where you refine your skills, improve body control, learn tracking, and practice formation flying. After completing the required number of jumps and tasks, you become eligible for your internationally recognized skydiving license.
