What is a tandem skydive?

A tandem skydive is the quickest and easiest way to experience the thrill of freefall and a scenic parachute flight over the Kenyan coastline, while securely harnessed to an experienced instructor and without any significant prior training.

Where can I skydive with Go Jump Kenya?

We currently offer tandem skydives at Diamonds Leisure Beach & Golf Resort and The 41 Beach Club in Diani, as well as at Vipingo Ridge Beach Club in Vipingo Ridge (this location is available for group bookings of more than 10 participants).

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash (KES, USD and EUR), debit cards, Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards, MPesa and secure online payment links.

What time should I arrive for my skydive?

Please arrive at least one hour before your scheduled time slot to complete all required paperwork. For example, if your slot is at 12:00, plan to arrive by 11:00. In total, you should expect to spend about two to three hours at the location from check-in until you finish your skydive.

What happens if I arrive late?

If you arrive late for your scheduled skydive, you may need to wait one to two hours until customers who arrived on time have completed their jumps. Late arrival can delay your experience, so punctuality is highly recommended.

What should I bring with me?

Please bring a valid official government photo ID. If you are 70 years or older, or if you have or have had any medical conditions listed in our medical requirements, you must also bring a doctor’s certificate stating that you are fit to skydive. If you are using a gift certificate, please bring it with you, as well as payment for any remaining balance of your skydive.

What should I wear for my tandem skydive?

Dress comfortably and suitably for outdoor activity, and be respectful of local culture and sensibilities. Athletic, comfortable clothing is advised. Sneakers or sports shoes are ideal, without buckles or studs. Low-cut tops, collared shirts, crop tops, sandals, boots or any type of heeled/platform shoes are not allowed. We also recommend removing jewelry, watches and other accessories, as they can easily be lost or damaged in freefall.

Can I wear glasses or contact lenses?

Yes. Every customer receives protective goggles to wear during the skydive. If you need to wear prescription glasses or contact lenses, you may do so under the goggles — you don’t want to miss the view over Diani Beach or Vipingo.

How does weather affect my skydive?

Skydiving is a weather-dependent activity. High winds, low clouds, rain or poor visibility can delay or cancel operations. In case of unsuitable weather, our team may place the operation on “standby” and keep you updated while you wait. If conditions do not improve and we must cancel, you can reschedule for the next available date.

What happens if the dropzone closes due to weather?

Go Jump Kenya reserves the right to close the dropzone without prior notice due to weather or safety considerations. If this happens, our team will contact you by phone or email to cancel or reschedule your skydive. Please note that Go Jump Kenya is not liable for any travel, accommodation or other costs incurred in such cases.

Can I reschedule my tandem skydive?

Yes. Individuals must request to reschedule at least 72 hours before their reservation date to avoid losing their payment. Groups of 4 or more must reschedule at least 96 hours in advance. To reschedule, please send your request using the form on the Contact Us page.

What facilities are available at the location?

WiFi is available at our dropzone. There is also an on-site restaurant offering food and refreshments. Visitors are welcome to sit on the beach or around the Skydive Centre and watch landings. Please note that we do not provide daycare or child supervision facilities, and young children must be supervised at all times.

What if there is a problem with my pictures or video?

Our instructors use modern equipment and are highly trained, but in rare cases technical issues beyond our control can affect video or photos. If such an incident occurs, it will be reviewed by management and you may be eligible for a refund for the video portion. The final decision rests with Go Jump Kenya management.

What are the weight and BMI requirements?

A minimum degree of fitness is required to complete a tandem skydive and ensure a safe landing for you and your instructor. We require each tandem customer to meet both weight and BMI requirements set by the equipment manufacturers. As a guideline: women up to 85 kg (up to 90 kg only if BMI is less than 27.5), and men up to 95 kg (up to 100 kg only if BMI is less than 30.0). There is no minimum weight requirement. If you are unsure, please use the BMI calculator provided or contact us for clarification. Surcharges may apply if your weight is above the threshold limit.

What are the age requirements for tandem skydiving?

You must be at least 16 years old to skydive. For guests under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the paperwork and be present on the day of the jump. If you are over 70 years old, a doctor’s certificate stating that you are fit to skydive is required. Please bring a valid government photo ID on the day of your skydive.

What is your policy on drugs and alcohol?

Go Jump Kenya has a strict zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and drugs. There must be no alcohol or drugs in your system for at least 8 hours before your skydive. Arriving under the influence can result in cancellation of your jump without refund.

What medical conditions should I be aware of?

If you suffer from, or have previously suffered from, any serious medical condition such as epilepsy, fits, severe head injury, recurrent blackouts or giddiness, brain or nervous system disease, high blood pressure, heart or lung disease, dislocated limb(s), recurrent weakness, diabetes, mental illness, or drug and alcohol addiction, you must present a doctor’s certificate stating that you are fit to skydive. This is essential for your safety and that of your instructor. If you are pregnant, skydiving is not recommended.

Can I skydive after scuba diving?

Due to changes in pressure, you must wait at least 24 hours after scuba diving before doing a skydive. This is an important safety requirement and should be strictly followed.

Is the booking fee refundable?

The booking fee is non-refundable if you choose to cancel your skydive. However, your skydive remains valid for one year and can be rescheduled within that period, in line with our rescheduling policy.
